blog circle challenge|close up portraiture

I am excited to be participating in another blog circle this year with some photographers from the Clickin Moms forum!  Each month, we will be given a shooting challenge to stretch our creativity and skills. We all will be posting our resulting images and linking to each other so that you can click through the circle to see all the variations on each theme.  To kick things off, January’s challenge was close up portraiture.  I love getting close to my subjects, especially with my beloved 35mm lens, but this was such a challenge this month!  We were flu-ridden the first half of January, and both of my boys are so sick of my camera lately that it takes a lot of bribery/trickery for me to get them to hold still for a split second!  Stay tuned for next month’s challenge: food photography.  For now, here’s what 3 looks like, up close:
