giving back

Dogs are my first love. I fell in love with my first dog when I saw her picture in the “Pet of the Week” section of our local paper. Nothing fancy, just a black and white picture of her, but I knew I had to meet her. After begging my parents for eons to get a dog, they finally agreed that we could go see “Boots”. She was found in an alley as a tiny puppy by her owners, who were moving to an apartment that didn’t allow dogs. When we met Boots, we adopted her on the spot. She was our best friend for 15 years.

I am happy to donate my photography services whenever possible to local animal rescues that would like professional images taken of their adoptable pets. I am a proud member of HeARTs Speak, a collective of artists donating their time and talent in an international effort to increase adoptions and decrease euthanasia. A great image of a pet can make a huge difference!

I am currently working with Chicago Canine Rescue, taking photographs of as many dogs as possible in the effort to help get them into forever homes. It has been a great experience for us all. Please check them out if you or someone you know is looking for a canine companion in the Chicagoland area!

Shelters and breed rescues: please contact me using the contact link above or by emailing me at jessica@jessicaremus.com if I can be of assistance photographing pets. I’d love to help other people fall in love at first sight with pets in need of forever homes! (Chicago and suburbs)
