18/52

Field of dreams?  I can’t believe I’m in week 18 of my 52 week post-some-photos-every-week-in-2012 project!  I almost was going to skip this week because it’s been crazy busy and I haven’t found much time to shoot at all.  But I couldn’t give up this early in the year so I brought my camera along when we went to the park on Sunday.  The boys were all over the place, as usual!

  • Aunt Karen - Been awhile since I’ve responded, but I have viewed all your photos regularly and with great delight. Your boys are so charming, and you have such a gift when it comes to capturing all that constant movement. Love the black and white, rolling in the grass, behind the fence, backs of tiny heads. What fun.ReplyCancel

Bright hat

When we were in Florida, my mom was reading a book with this headlamp on.  Charlie kept asking us to wear the “bright hat” and we had no idea what he was talking about…until we realized he was talking about her headlamp and at just over 2 1/2, didn’t have the words for it.  It was so cute, we put it on him, and he was absolutely thrilled and fascinated with it.  Love him.

The way I view {friendship}

The first thought that popped into my head when I saw that the theme for the 12-month project in April was friendship, was the bond between dogs and their kids.  I know how much I loved my dog growing up (and vice versa), and I wanted to capture the relationship that my boys have with our Aussie dog, Calvin.  Calvin is so good with them and will truly put up with anything they do just to be with them.  Trying to get both boys and the dog in the frame at the same time was hopeless, but I did catch Charlie and Calvin running around and having fun.  Luckily they both got tired enough to sit down after a while!  Head over to Cheryl Myers Photography blog to see how she views friendship.

Hello sunshine!  We spent a week in Florida recently, the boys got to play in the surf and sand.  They weren’t so in love with the sand at first, but came around eventually!  It was 85 degrees and sunny every single day, we miss it already!
