Spring has sprung! Let’s go to the park…it has been such a great spring around here, it’s been so unseasonably warm and we’ve been able to play outside a lot more this year. We took the boys over to the park to enjoy the sunshine. So for week 14 of my 52-week photography project, I snapped a few at the park. Happy Spring!
Happiness is my two little guys cracking eachother up and getting squeaky clean at the end of a long day of playing. For another view of {happiness}, head over to the next post at Cheryl Myers Photography.

The second is my favorite. I love how all you see is Charlie’s little hand on one side of the tub and Nate popping up super happy on the other. Adorable!

Better {together}. It’s rare but sometimes the boys do play nicely togeher! I have proof, and as you can see it lasted about 5 seconds before they went off to do their own thing:
-
Oh cute! Isn’t it wonderful, those fleeting moments where they play nicely together? Side note, I love the colour of your walls 🙂

I, too, love everyday sort of photos. And how sweet do they look playing together in the first photo?!

Isn’t it perfect when they play together well? It’s a wonder they don’t do it more often! With my kids, it’s totally hit or miss – one minute it’s all perfect, the next chaos.

On St. Patrick’s Day, Charlie and I headed out to a birthday party for one of his preschool friends. We pulled back into the driveway around 5 pm and this is what I saw: our little neighbor, sweet baby Jane, covered head-to-toe in mud, and just about as happy as could be about it. I had to run inside to grab my camera and get some shots of this scene! She is too funny.

Love this! She looks like she had so much fun!

You’ve got some really creative angles there! What a great moment to capture. We’ve been doing mud & wagon rides daily this week. This reminds me to bring the camera next time!

It’s a technological world…and my boys are living in it! Here are a few shots of Charlie doing one of his favorite things, watching Thomas train videos on Youtube, on my phone or his tablet. After he watched so many that I got overage charges on my (huge) data package on my phone, we bought him a cheapie tablet to use for this little bedtime ritual of his. I’m thinking it will also come in handy on our upcoming plane ride to Florida. It’s scary how well he can use a touchscreen at 2.5, and so funny that with any screen, he tries to flick it to make things move. What a different world they are in!

I love how you get creative with light sources!

Story time. Nate is a truck guy. This is his favorite book. Here he is reading with his Gigi and having a blast pointing to the different trucks. I love the “did I get it right, Gigi?” look on his face, it’s such a typical Nate expression.

He is so cute! I love the expression on his face!!

domesticdevotion - So much to love in these shots! Great incorporation of shadows, love the leading lines, the use of unique angles. You’re killing it! I wish his t-shirt were not the same color as the bench in the last one. It would be neat if it were one of the colors from the mural to make him pop.
